A very arrogant restaurant with outrageously high prices. Frank Buchholz should rather stay on TV. The highlight of our visit was that we were threatened with a broken jaw. Never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not that much choice ... but very tasty!

Unfortunately, I am disappointed, I made a reservation in writing and asked for a birthday dessert, when we were there nobody knew what it was. I was then told to check if there are candles for dessert and then let me know that I am still waiting for an answer. The food is completely overpriced, and I have never had such a fatty veal schnitzel. The location is very nice, but price-performance ratio is not recommended. A pity

I came from Dortmund today to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. We were not disappointed, great food and great service ... thank you so much for the hospitality ....

Actually a nice location. Nice staff, quick and friendly. Food tastes good. Unfortunately only partially good for vegetarians. Choice very modest. When asked whether they could offer anything vegetarian besides the baked potato, the only answer we got was that every vegetarian starter can also be served as a main course. Was a little too little for me. But non-vegetarians are in good hands.

Booked a table from Stuttgart for my wife's birthday. Ambience 1 +. Service 1+. Drinks 1+. Starter 1+. Main course 1+. Dessert 1+. Nice small talk and dedication from the boss - priceless. Thank you for the great hospitality!

Unfriendly and incompetent staff. We had three tables. The first one had finished eating, the others hadn't even ordered. French fries were too salty and the salad dressing didn't taste like anything. To get something to drink again you almost had to beg. An absolute cheek at the prices. There is one star for the look you have.

Good cuisine by TV cook Frank Buchholz for a very reasonable price. The „Bootshaus“ is located at a picturesque location on the Rhine river promenade. Fast and friendly service. Our regular stop after a walk alongside the river in Mainz. A must-have if you are visiting Mainz!

It's a place that really offers something for everyone. Quiet, relaxation, friendly staff, good cuisine, fine drinks at reasonable prices. You can walk right along the Rhine, lie casually in a deck chair, sit down in rustic wooden furniture, but also relax in comfortable seating areas. As I said, there is something for everyone. For me: always gladly!

Excellent food in Frank Buchholz's boathouse. Very friendly service. The boss tried very hard for the well-being of the guests and the overall appearance of the area. Very nice ambience right on the river.

The waiters are not very friendly, they need a course in customer care it seems, however the ambiance is good and it's good to hang out with friends on a Friday or Sunday evening.

Really delicious eaten and served by nice waiters. And the boss, Frank Buchholz is really a super nice man who has a moment for each guest !! Really good !!!

We each ordered a hot chocolate there. What came looked neither like hot chocolate, nor did it taste like that. It was just lukewarm water, slightly brownish.

We ordered coffee with cake. After the coffee was on the table, they were told that there was no cake left. The coffee was no longer taken back, although it was announced that we would rather go then because we would like to drink coffee with cake. The waitress insisted that drinks that had not yet been touched be paid for.

A very nicely designed restaurant, great location right on a small harbor. Drink prices somewhat ok, unfortunately we found the price / performance ratio for the food as not justified. For the sometimes very high prices, you can simply expect more in terms of taste.

Not recommended - kicked out in the rain despite reservation .. It could hardly be more unprofessional .. a table that was previously sitting outside (with reservation), not being able to offer a table in the rain when it is dry .. words are at a loss! We were a group of 7 people, the service was nice and courteous, the drinks came quickly and both starters and main courses were well timed. Food was okay but nothing special .. After the main course we ordered new drinks which we could only enjoy standing up under an umbrella, as it started raining heavily. So I don't need to stress that there was no dessert because everything inside was reserved, as we were told. We paid, we were allowed to finish our drinks, but I wouldn't recommend the boathouse to anyone after the experience! Whether the whole thing is due to bad organizations and agreements or greed for money, everyone can understand for themselves how they want it ..

My husband and I loved the choice of drinks! For my part, I certainly come here with my relatives and can rely on being looked after brilliantly. The decoration on the seats and in the entire restaurant is reasonable and beautiful. The toilets are always clean and all in all the restaurant gives a nice impression. It's always nice and we had a nice afternoon there.

Located in a prime location directly on the Rhine and close to a revitalized port area. Although it is certainly blessed with a lot of walk-in customers, there is an ambitious menu with above-average quality at generally acceptable prices. The young service team also makes a good impression. You can not ask for more.

A nice ambience that Mr. Buchholz obviously has to pay for. Because the quality of the food cannot keep up with the high price. The price-performance ratio is not right here. A shame, but unfortunately not recommended.

Great staff, super nice and quick. Great value for money, the veal schnitzel much better than the Lohninger. Great managed restaurant. Gladly again!!!

Nice place to eat & drink, smells a bit like old school in the kitchen

Location is good but service is a catastrophy. We went there on a Saturday afternoon (around 15:00). The waitresses were unfriendly, most of the pastries were already empty and they even said they might not have coffee without any sorry. Nevertheless, we ordered it, waited for 25minutes without any feedback. We had to cancel and left. There were other tables who were complaining and leaving.

Very lovely place along the Rhine River. Very good food and drinks. Service can be slow when they have many guests. Totally worth a visit.

I love the place!!!

Excellent place to enjoy a cold beer in the sun. Great view of the river and the docks. Nice and calm atmosphere with friendly staff. You pay about 2€ extra for each glass, which is given back to you if you return it to the bar. This makes the outside place nice and clean.

Food were ok but not as good as I expected. It took them 45mins to serve us after served us our drinks. I ordered medium rare Rump steak but served well cooked steak instead..if i am not in rush of time , I will ask for a replacement steak..The steak costed €28 . Waitress was unfriendly thru out the service...my 1st and last time here..food overrated...

Nice interior, relaxed view on the river, decent food, relaxed atmosphere.

Great place in a nice setting on the river. Simple but good menu with classic German fare with an emphasis on tradition, very tasty. Well executed and paired with a great wine selection, including locally produced ones from the area. Fresh locally sourced produce. Knowledgeable staff, very good service.

The staff isn't particularly friendly, especially if you aren't dressed in Sunday's best. The view and the location is great, but it truly isn't anything special.

Great place from the Micheline's Chief at the perfect spot in Mainzer Marine. Menu is not that big, but everything is really tasty. Prices are also really affordable. Daily lunch menu during the week. Wines are also great. You could just sit outside at the Rhein/Main riverbank with a good glass of vine and feel yourself just at the right place. A bit slow and complicated waiter, but maybe it was only our problem. Dog friendly.
